Since 1971, Taisi township has developed the aquaculture fishery, such as the cultivation of clams, oysters, and various edible fish. It also attracted many waterfowls and egrets to breed here. It's a typical fishing village with a diversity of species. 

臺西自民國六十年開始發展養殖漁業,養殖文蛤、牡蠣和各式食用魚種,吸引許多水鳥、白鷺鷥在此繁殖,物種多樣,漁村氣息濃厚。

Whenever you visit Taisi, you have to taste the fresh seafood here.The "Clam Hui Specialties Center" next to the WuTiaoGang An-Shi Temple specializes in cooking fresh clams, shrimp, milkfish, and oyster products. The owner has been actively working with local women to promote their hometown industry and create their brand, which has been certified by the Council of Agriculture of the Executive Yuan as "Tian Mama" and officially recognized as a specialty cuisine. They also hired many new residents and offered jobs to let them to learn a new skill, bringing new energy to this fishing town. 

來到臺西,不定要品嚐一下當地的新鮮海產料理,臺西五條港安西府旁的「蛤仔輝特產中心」專營文蛤、鹹水蝦、虱目魚和鮮蚵產品加工,老闆娘積極與在地漁村婦女共同發揚家鄉產業、創立品牌,獲有行政院農委會「田媽媽」品牌認證,是受官方肯定的特色美食料理。同時也僱用許多新住民,提供他們能有一技之長,為漁村注入新活力。

The "Clam Soup Dumpling" is a steamed dumpling made with the extraction of clam juice, fresh pork, and vegetables, and you can buy it in their restaurant. It tastes like you get the sweetness of the sea from the clam soup dumpling. It won the name of "the world's freshest food" by netizens. Another famous food is the "oyster egg omelet ", which looks like the Japanese Omurice, Omelette Rice. There are tons of oysters wrapped in a thin, tender egg omelet. You can get the original fresh taste from the fat and juicy oysters. If you like seafood, you must come here to taste it. 

店內「蛤仔湯包」是以蒸氣萃取出文蛤原汁和新鮮豬肉、蔬菜拌製而成,將大海的鮮甜全數鎖進湯包中,被網友封為天下第一鮮。另一項招牌美食「蚵仔蛋包」,外表貌似日式蛋包飯,以薄嫩的蛋包包裹份量十足的蚵仔,粒粒飽滿、紮實多汁,可以品嚐到蚵仔最原始的鮮味,喜歡吃海鮮的朋友有機會一定要來一趟。
