Lin Jin-Shan (林錦山), the local artist of Xingji community (新吉社區) in Mailiao (麥寮) Township, possesses rich aesthetic knowledge and has delved deeply into painting, pottery, calligraphy, and handicrafts. Not only his magic handcrafting can transform recycled paper pulp or waste materials into cultural and creative products, but he also guides community children in painting and pulling clay, giving them good vibes to immerse in art.

Mr. Lin's creation started with the development and construction of Xingji community in 2010, using recycled paper pulp art to produce works that respond to environmental protection and energy conservation and enrich a splash of color and vitality to the community. One of his outstanding works is leading residents to build the "Recycled Paper Pulp Art Corridor" (紙漿藝術廊道). These recycled paper pulp art products and wall relief sculptures in the community, with residents' recycled paper pulp art skills, has been transformed into a living aesthetic, enriching the community's art and culture.

In addition, Mr. Lin also incorporates the characteristics of early rural society into some of the recycled paper pulp art products, allowing the future generations to understand past lifestyles through art. Xingji village's recycled paper pulp art has taken root for over ten years and has always been well-known in the community construction industry and tourist attractions. With the joint maintenance of the villagers, we believe these art products will continue to shine in the community.
